How much will the patient’s insurance company pay, and what will the patient pay
How much out of packet will the medical procedure cost in the USA
Decide which country they would like to travel to for the procedure
Find out the prices for the procedure in the preferred country
Decide which doctor and specific technique
How will the patient cover the costs?
Get all the necessary medical documents copied electronically and hard copy
Is the patient cleared to travel the necessary distance/hours?
Conference with the procedural doctor – What does the doctor need of the patient before the procedure, and what time frames
How many days are scheduled for consultation, procedure, recovery?
Look at flight prices and hotel prices
Get a visa (does the patient need a certain number of days)
Have a companion to travel with and help with the entire medical tourism plan
Get travelers insurance
Get evacuation insurance
