Personal Safety

Mexico’s commitment to ensuring the safety of tourists, including those visiting for medical purposes, has been unwavering. Recognizing the importance of tourism to the national economy, the Mexican government and local authorities have implemented a series of strategic measures to safeguard visitors.

These measures include increased policing in areas known for high tourist activity and deploying tourist police forces in major cities and popular tourist destinations. These officers are often bilingual and specifically trained to assist and protect international visitors. Moreover, installing surveillance cameras and enhancing emergency response systems in tourist areas have significantly contributed to the sense of security among visitors. These concerted efforts have effectively reduced the incidences of crimes targeting tourists, making personal safety in Mexico a priority that is well managed.

In addition to government initiatives, Mexico’s local communities and business sectors have played a crucial role in promoting a safe tourist environment. Many hotels, resorts, and medical facilities have implemented comprehensive security measures, including private security personnel, guest identification protocols, and secure client transportation services.

These measures are not just about protecting the physical well-being of their guests but also about creating an atmosphere where visitors can feel relaxed and secure. This collaborative approach between the public and private sectors underscores the collective commitment to ensuring minimal chances of being victimized in Mexico.

The Mexican government has also invested in infrastructure and community development projects to enhance residents’ and visitors’ overall safety and quality of life. By addressing underlying social issues and improving economic opportunities in local communities, Mexico is tackling the root causes of crime and ensuring a safer environment for everyone.

These initiatives have had a positive impact, as areas popular with medical tourists and other visitors continue to report lower crime rates and higher satisfaction among tourists regarding their safety.

Visitors to Mexico must take common-sense precautions, just as they would when traveling to any other destination. The efforts made by the Mexican government and local stakeholders to prevent crime and ensure the safety of tourists are comprehensive and practical. With these proactive measures in place, the likelihood of experiencing crime as a visitor in Mexico is significantly low, allowing tourists to focus on what matters most—enjoying their visit and receiving quality medical care.

The collective priority given to safety has not only bolstered Mexico’s reputation as a premier destination for medical tourism but also reassured visitors that their safety is well protected.

Adding another layer of safety

Our clients will be insulated from most external activities, unless not desired by the client, from initial contact with the hotel or hospital to the visit, after treatment, back to the hotel, or back to their home/destination. In other words, the client does not need to be alone from the beginning to the end of their treatment and return home. Many clients prefer this for their first visit but might not desire it during subsequent visits.
